# Monitoring Microsoft 365

How to monitor your Microsoft 365 tenant from IncidentHub

You can monitor your Microsoft 365 tenant using IncidentHub's integration that fetches health data using official Microsoft APIs. The access is read-only.

{% hint style="info" %}
Available on the Business and Multi-Client plans. A Microsoft 365 **Global Administrator** (or another admin who can grant application consent) must complete the Microsoft prompt.
{% endhint %}

### In Your IncidentHub Account

1. Login to your IncidentHub dashboard
2. In "My Services", click on "Add"
3. Select **Microsoft 365 (Business or Enterprise)**

{% hint style="warning" %}
This is different from adding "Microsoft 365" or "Microsoft 365 (Consumer)" from the dropdown - they monitor the public status pages only. Do not select those.
{% endhint %}

After selecting, click on "Connect your Microsoft 365 account".

It might ask you to login to your Microsoft account if you are not already logged in. Login as a tenant admin.

IncidentHub uses a Microsoft app which requests for **read-only** access in the next screen.

### Complete Your Setup

Once you click on "Accept", IncidentHub will show you a screen where you can give a unique name to this integration. You can also choose which components in Microsoft 365 you wish to monitor. Select "Monitor all components" to monitor everything.

Click on Save to save your integration.

You can edit the components at any time just like any other service - by clicking on the Edit icon next to your Microsoft 365 integration in the IncidentHub dashboard.

This integration uses the [Microsoft Graph service communications API](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/service-communications-api-overview). After a tenant admin grants consent, IncidentHub polls issues for that tenant (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and other services licensed in the tenant).

IncidentHub is not affiliated with Microsoft or any of the services mentioned in this article. IncidentHub uses standard Microsoft APIs and authentication mechanisms to fetch health data.
